The best thing to do with your old or unwanted furniture is to donate it to charity. I know, they say charity starts at home but that’s why you got yourself the new furniture. There are lots of non-profit organizations around Metro Atlanta that accept used furniture items.  You can donate bedroom furniture, sofas, mattresses, dining room tables sets, desks, bookcases, children’s furniture and more.

Here are some of  our favorite places to donate furniture  in Metro Atlanta:

1. Atlanta Dream Center

Accepts: furniture, clothing and working appliances.

Does not accept: Any item in poor condition (appliance that do not work, furniture with broken legs or large tears etc.)

4. Freecycle

Just list your items for FREE and let people know to come pick them up at your house. Easy as that.

Serves Metro Atlanta

To qualify for a FREE donation pickup, items must be located on the ground level or in the garage and provide ease of access.

Accepts donations provided they are gently used, structurally sound, operable and free of stains, tears or rips.

Will not accept: Items that are damaged (mattresses, appliances, broken, torn, missing parts, unsanitary, badly scratched, excessively worn, moldy, rusted, excessive pet hair etc).
